Godwin versus Deep Run is known as “the premier high school rivalry in Short Pump.” The rivalry is always heated, and after weeks of trash talk among the students of the two schools, everything was settled Friday night on the football field at Axselle Stadium.
The Godwin girls’ volleyball team added another win to their undefeated record on Sept. 25 when they defeated the Freeman Rebels.

The second class of the Godwin Hall of Fame will be recognized at halftime of the Godwin vs. Deep Run football game on October 4. An induction ceremony will follow on October 5 at 7:00 PM in the Godwin Commons and Auditorium. Tickets are $25.00 for the event. Check the Godwin website for more details.

The girls cross country team won the the Fork Union Invitational Meet on Sept. 7. They were first out of 35 teams at the meet.
With the golf season underway, Godwin will be aiming to repeat last year’s success and win back-to-back state championships.
