Debate Conference Tournament

On March 20, several Godwin students participated in the Debate Conference Tournament. Godwin came in first place overall.



Black History Month at Godwin

The month of February is nationally known as Black History Month in which we remember the important events and figures of the past who belonged to the African American community. Here at Godwin many teachers are taking the month into their own hands by doing activities in their class that they feel demonstrate an appreciation of the African American culture.




Governor Bob McDonnell visits Godwin

On Dec. 12, Governor Bob McDonnell visited Godwin High School to speak about school safety. There has been a big focus on school safety ever since the Sandy Hook Shooting occurred in Connecticut a year ago.


Godwin participates in American Red Cross blood drive

On Friday, Nov. 22 students and faculty participated in a blood drive held by the Medical Club for the American Red Cross. The Medical Club volunteered with the event and helped out the workers from the American Red Cross.
