Ron Strine, an Oceanography teacher at Godwin, and his wife Anne, who substitutes at Godwin, ventured to the midwest for a trip full of sightseeing and action. On their trip, the couple hiked to the summit of Mt. Evans in Colorado, visited Zion National Park in Utah, and walked along the Red Rock Canyon in Nevada.
Katie Spicer, an English teacher at Godwin Highschool, traveled to the Providenciales in Turks and Caicos this summer. She was accompanied by her husband, Drew, and her two children, Ariana and Lucas.
Jessica Harvey, a History and Psychology teacher at Godwin, traveled with friends from college to Chicago this summer. They visited the 103 floor of Sears Tower, also known as the Sky Deck. Because the clouds were in the way, Harvey wasn’t able to see the view and hoped for better luck next time.
Sue Lawrence, an exceptional education teacher at Godwin, visited many locations in the pacific northwest this summer with her husband Mike, including the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden, and Glass in Seattle. Some other places they visited were Mt. Rainier National Park, Bainbridge Island, a Mariners Baseball game in Seattle, Tacoma, Vancouver, Washington, and Voodoo Donuts in Portland, Oregon.
Joshua Mckeon, a Science teacher at Godwin, welcomed a new addition to the family, Lily.
Our very own Chip Carter, Journalism and English teacher, walked his daughter Kelsey Carter Harris, a 2010 Godwin Graduate, down the aisle in June.
Maria Villarroel Burruss, a Spanish teacher at Godwin, visited Bonita Beach in Florida, Seaworld in Orlando, and Manhattan with family.
