While most people were at home watching March Madness, Godwin freshman Molly Ferguson was in Indianapolis at the Lucas Oil Stadium watching the Final Four games first hand.
Ferguson got to go to the Final Four because her father works with Capital One’s advertising team – which sponsors part of the Final Four games. Because Capitol One sponsors part of the game, the company was given tickets to attend the games. They received half court tickets and got to sit in Capital One’s suite.
Ferguson watched both Final Four games, and the National Championship game from the suite. “I am not a big Duke fan, so I really just wanted them to lose, which didn’t end up happening,” said Ferguson.
On her trip she got to meet Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal. Barkley has been doing commercials with Capital One so he was there with them. O’Neal was a guest of Capital One because he is planning on doing starring in commercials for Capital One. “I mostly talked to Shaq and joked around with him and he took my phone and was taking funny Snapchat videos of him for my friends and I walked around with Shaq and everyone knew who he was and asked him for his picture. Also it was really cool watching the confetti shoot out all over the stadium after duke won the championship,” said Ferguson.
