DECA goes to Districts
Godwin’s Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) team, led by advisor and marketing and business teacher, Deborah Ross, headed to the District 24 competition.

Recently, sophomore David Lu and his team won a $20,000 scholarship for their success in the Siemens Competition in Math, Science, and Technology.

On this date, Nov. 22nd, 50 years ago the 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated. Godwin staff recall their memories of the Kennedy assassination.

On Saturday, Oct. 26 the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society held a Light the Night Walk in downtown Richmond. And in the walk, there were two teams from Godwin that walked in honor of Brenda Gradwell, a former Godwin guidance counselor. The Light the Night Walk is a 5k walk in which crowds of people walk in honor of someone they know who has, had, or passed away from leukemia or lymphoma.
Godwin junior goes to World Series

On October 30, Godwin junior Scott Merritt attended game six of the World Series in Boston.

Toole has again set herself apart as part of the 2013 class of the Mills Godwin Athletic Hall of Fame and first inductee to both play and coach at Godwin.
