Last July, one of Godwin’s top softball prospects picked her home for the next four years. Lexie Washington, a senior here at Godwin, committed to Seton Hill on July 2 of this year. She took three previous visits before making her decision, as she has no prior connections to Seton Hill, and wanted to be sure of her decision.
“I committed because of how well ran the softball program was and the school as a whole was just where I wanted to be.” she said.
Washington plans on majoring in exercise science, which will improve her performance on the field as well. Washington has been playing softball since she was nine, and looks forward to continuing her softball career at Seton Hill. For her parents, it’s bittersweet, because they are very proud of her but she’s going to be living six hours away from home.
